FTB Part A maximum rates for 2025-26 are $222.04 per fortnight for each child aged 0-12, and $288.82 per fortnight for each child aged 13-15 (or 16-19 in secondary school). These rates are subject to an income test based on combined family income.

What is the income limit for Family Tax Benefit Part A?

FTB Part A has an income free area of $61,865 per year. Above this, your payment reduces by 20 cents per dollar until the base rate of $68.46 per fortnight per child is reached. A second taper of 30 cents per dollar applies above $111,398 reducing the base rate to zero.

How much is FTB Part B?

FTB Part B rates for 2025-26 are $188.86 per fortnight if your youngest child is aged 0-4, or $131.74 per fortnight if your youngest is aged 5-15. Part B is paid per family, not per child. Single parents have no income test for Part B. For couples, Part B is income-tested on the lower earner's income.
