From 20 March 2026, Parenting Payment Partnered (PPP) is $638.10 per fortnight. This includes the base rate of $589.50, Pension Supplement of $35.80, and Energy Supplement of $12.80. Your income free area is $150 per fortnight, and your partner's income free area is $1,124 per fortnight.

What is the difference between PPS and PPP?

Parenting Payment Single (PPS) is for single parents who are the primary carer of a child under 8 and pays $1,054.30/fn. Parenting Payment Partnered (PPP) is for partnered parents with a child under 6 and pays $638.10/fn. PPS has a more generous income test with a $214.60 free area and 40c taper, while PPP uses a $150 free area with 50c/60c taper plus a partner income test.
